BPM is the magazine for the metropolitan man, branching out from its founding elements in DJ culture, to cover music, nightlife, consumer technology, gaming, art and fashion. Seeking to skate ahead of the mainstream, BPM remains tuned into the rhythm of its core readers—the creative, fashion-conscious male trendsetters.
In two years of art direction by our team, BPM underwent a steady evolution, as any self-respecting lifestyle brand must—by staying one step ahead of the creative pack. With custom fonts, brash designs, and finally a stark b&w look, the magazine's grid was complex and unpredictable. Employing reductionist-yet-exciting layout, BPM's creative expedition mentality was reflected in every spread, delivering the novelty and freshness that trendsetters crave.
